What Is Assistive Control?
Assistive Control is a browser extension that may get installed on a Macbook in a bundle with some free program, software crack, file downloaded from a shady site, or spam email attachment. Assistive Control changes the default search engine on Google Chrome and redirects users’ searches to Yahoo. When users try to change the search engine back, they are told that “Assistive Control is controlling ths setting”. Assistive Control may also cause pop-ups on Chrome and open various shady and dubious sites.
